This is our cry…Rend the Heavens Oh Lord and Come Down….Come meet us as we wait upon you as we seek your face during this time.
This week our focus is REMEMBERING What God has spoken to us…we are calling to mind our prophetic words, our dreams and visions…NOT just to ponder what could have been BUT to PRESS INTO WHAT IS YET TO BE!
TODAY, God is saying, Behold, I am doing a NEW THING!
Scripture: Isaiah 43:15-21
God is doing a new thing in this hour. This new thing is bigger than we can imagine; it’s meant to impact individuals, the Church, the nation and the world all at the same time.
We are in a ‘karios’ moment however this ‘moment’ must be realized, seized upon, otherwise it will pass us by.
Will We Recognize our Kairos Moment? Dutch Sheets says; “Kairos moments are moments of grace to recognize what God is doing. If the Church doesn’t steward the kairos moments correctly, we don’t get the fullness….Kairos is not a guaranteed time, it’s an opportune time.” - GiveHim15 4-23-19
God says, Behold, "Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” - Is. 43:18-9 AMP
Remember = ‘call to mind’ H2142 (BDB) zakar / to remember, recall, call to mind.
“Do not remember the former things: As Isaiah writes prophetically to Israel, they were mired in the desperate circumstances of captivity and exile. God wants to put their eyes on the new work He will do, so it begins with a reminder to not remember the former things. If they (we) are stuck in the failure and sin and discouragement of the past, they (we) will never go forward to the new thing God has for them (us).
It is a fascinating - and instructive - switch between Is 43:16-17 and Is. 43:18. In Is. 43:16-17, Israel is told to look to the past by remembering the great things God did for them at the Red Sea. But in Is .43:18, they are told, Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. This shows us that there is a sense in which we must remember the past, in terms of God’s great work on our behalf. There is also a sense in which we must forsake and forget the past, with all its discouragement and defeat, and move on to what God has for us in the future.”- David Guzik Commentary
Now = ‘at this time’ H6258 (Strong) From H6256; at this time, henceforth, now, straightway.
Spring = ‘bring forth’ H6779 (Strong) tsâmach /A primitive root; to sprout;(cause to, make to) bud (forth), (cause to, make to) grow (again, up), (cause to) spring (forth, up).
Know it = ‘preceive’ H3045 (Strong) yâda‛ / A primitive root; to know (properly to ascertain by seeing); used in a great variety of senses, acknowledge, be aware, comprehend, consider, declare, be diligent, (can, cause to) discern, discover, perceive, understand, have [understanding].
Even = ‘furthermore’ H637 (BDB) ‘aph / so much the more, indeed
Make A Way = transform into, constitute, fashion, work, bring to pass.
A ROADWAY = a road (as trodden); figuratively a course of life or mode of action.
IN The…Wilderness = an unpleasant place, fleshly speaking
AND Rivers = refreshing, figuratively, prosperity:From H5102 nâhar to sparkle, be cheerful; be lightened.
IN The…Dessert = waste, wilderness, desert, desolate place.
Many of us are in the place called transition - between the ‘NOW and NOT YET’. Recently during a Sunday message my son, Josiah shared this poem Threshold Moments. I believe it speaks to where many of us are at in life.
Threshold moments are equally beautiful and terrifying
They have the capacity to make or break the vision
As you stand on the cusp of everything you dare hoped for
You survey the land that now lies before you
Your eyes tracing the intricate shapes that settle on the horizon
Too good to imagine.
This is what has been stirring for so long
This has been the cry of your heart for years
hidden deep down but now here it is
the first glimpse of dream turned reality within reach
right before your very eyes
so nearly there
and as you stand here at the threshold of everything you’ve ever dared dreamed about
with that cocktail of excitement and fear rising in equal measure
that other voice kicks in
the one that gently tells you
to take a step back from the threshold
it whispers to you that passing through that door will have its cost
or its too good to be true
or even worse
that what lies before you is all mirage
you’d be foolish to walk through
it will disappear as soon as you enter
it is better to survey the land from the doorway
distance yourself from it just in case
stand at the threshold just watching
it is better to quietly let the dream die now
before sacrifices are made
bridges are burned
and there is no safe way back
threshold moments have power
many see them as the end of a very long journey
they finally glimpse what their hearts have longed for
but they stop
they find themselves settling at the doorway to what they have longed for
never actually crossing through and taking hold of it
tired and exhausted
they find contentment in the reasoning that they have made it this far
they can see it in the distance
but the truth is these threshold moments are just the start of the adventure
they are only just the beginning
so step in
and move forward
you have been called for such a time as this
Read Psalms 105: 7-15 / God’s covenant with Abraham, we see how God removed roadblocks and conquered enemies to bring His word to pass. He is still doing into TODAY on Your behalf!
I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying…PUT ME IN REMEMBRANCE says the Lord! Isaiah 46:26
