Dear Called Out Ones,
This week a foundation from the scriptures was laid for angelic assistance. We learned about different types of angels and their assignments. We were also made aware that the Lord God sends angels in response to our cries and they aid us in fulfilling our destiny. Remember - Yahweh Roi, Sees You!
Today, we see angels aiding Ismael and Hagar. We find them once again in the wilderness but this time they were sent away by Abraham and Sarah so Issac, the promised one could grow up without scoffing and mockery. BUT, God has already told Hagar that Ismael would become a great nation. So, angles come to them in response to Ismael's cries.
Be encouraged, Yahweh Roi, sees you and hears you!
Day 7 – God Hears Our Cry
Sends Angelic Assistance
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. - Colossians 1:16 -17
Ismael and Hagar
And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her,
"What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad and hold him with your hand, for I will make him a great nation." Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink. So God was with the lad; and he grew and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer Gen 21:17-20
In Genesis 16 Hagar ran away from her mistress; we saw the angel of the Lord come down to meet Hagar by the springs in the wilderness. In this passage Hagar and Ismael were sent away from the camp so the heir of promise Isaac could grow up without scoffing and mockery.
But the Lord speaks to Abraham and says, Yet I will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman, because he is your seed." So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Then she departed and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba (well of oath or covenant).
The angel of God calls out of heaven because He heard the cry of her son. God remembered the covenant He had made to Abraham regarding Ismael. The angel of the Lord gave Hagar instructions and also spoke to her about the destiny of Ismael – he will become a great nation. He opened her eyes to see the well of water, the refreshing drink that would sustain them in the wilderness.
Word of the Lord
I, the Lord God hear your cry; I hear the cries of your children when they call out to Me. I have come to set you free, to set your children free, to empower your lives. All things pertaining to life and godliness are at your disposal. When in need call upon Me and I will respond! I will send My angelic host to aid you, to aid your family. The angelic host are My agents of deliverance, they come with instructions, they guard, they protect, they are ever ready to help you (your family) fulfill your mission upon the earth. In this hour you need to learn of their call and assignments for they are My assistants sent to aid you in this harvest season, says the Lord.
Open our eyes, Lord!
Open my eyes so that I can see all the wonderful things in your teachings - Psalms 119:18 (ERV)
What does the Bible say?
Read: Genesis 21:12-20 read the story of Hagar and Ismael. Once again we see the Lord using angels to deliver a message of destiny. It’s important we understand the Lord still hears the voice of Ismael and has a plan to deliver them out of the stronghold of the enemy.
Action: The Lord is calling forth His people to pray for the Ishmaelites (Muslims) – call them forth to receive the love of Father God, the grace of the Lord Jesus, and the fellowship of Holy Spirit.
If you have a need especially regarding your children release your cry to Father – Abba God, expect angelic assistance, heed whatever instructions are given to you to see this situation turn around.
Declare: Lord Sabbaoth, the Lord of Angel Armies, is on our side. We will win! Pg. 193 Angel Armies
