Day 28 - Restoring Covenant

 Walking Down Ancient Paths

It's day 28; 28 represents eternal life. God's covenant brings life.

Psalms 50:5 "Gather My godly ones to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice."

Yahweh has made a covenant with us through the blood of Jesus. When you study covenant you come to understand that covenant (a contract) is a 2 way exchange. God's part is unchanging and everlasting but our part is made through sacrifices; of thanksgiving and praise, through giving, through our obedience to obey His Word and heed His Will. We can experience all His covenant has to offer or we can choose our own way which leads to gaps in covenant promises fulfilled.

The Spirit says, choose the ancient path and walk on the road of covenant promises fulfilled. As you choose to walk the good way through sacrifice then Yahweh - Jehovah, I AM THAT I AM will manifest and you will continually walk in the dimension of covenant promises fulfilled!

Here's the last of the Josiah reformation principles...

  • Leads The People To A New Place Of Covenant Before God

2Ch 34:31Then the king stood in his place and made a covenant before the LORD to walk after the LORD, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all his heart and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant written in this book.

Josiah here represents the totally committed leadership of the reformation. He commits himself with ‘all his heart and soul’ to obey and perform every purpose and command of the Lord in his day.

When leadership occupies such positions in the Nation and in the Body of Christ there is released the downward force of Kingdom government. This force brings the hearts of the willing Nation / Church into unprecedented positions of covenant for obedience to the divine purposes of the Lord.

  • He Brings The People Back Into Celebrating the Feasts

2Ch 35:16-20aSo all the service of the LORD was prepared on that day to celebrate the Passover, and to offer burnt offerings on the altar of the LORD according to the command of King Josiah. Thus the sons of Israel who were present celebrated the Passover at that time, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days. There had not been celebrated a Passover like it in Israel since the days of Samuel the prophet; nor had any of the kings of Israel celebrated such a Passover as Josiah did with the priests, the Levites, all Judah and Israel who were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. In the eighteenth year of Josiah's reign this Passover was celebrated. After all this, when Josiah had set the temple in order.

…to keep the Passover…according to the command of King Josiah

Jer 6:16  Thus says the LORD, "Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; And you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it."

Lev 23:2  "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'The LORD'S appointed times which you shall proclaim as holy convocations—My appointed times are these.

The Lord said this is a year to remember the mo'ed times (meet with God)  during His appointed times.

- Mo'edH4150: To remember, to call to mind...to mark as to recognize, to mention. When we align ourselves with God's calendar we step into a cycle of blessings.

  • Activate Patterns and Extravagant Sacrifice & Giving

Josiah surpassed all the Kings that went before him. He lifted Israel to the level extravagant sacrifice and established new standards of offerings before God.

In keeping with the principles of Josiah, we must push this generation to new frontiers of faith, manifestation of the purposes of the Lord, prophetic accuracy, apostolic might and personal commitment. We must surpass the ‘kings’ that went before us and produce the most excellent generation of purpose that both the world and the domain of darkness have ever encountered. We must touch ancient realities in our modern time and bring glory to the throne of God.

Exodus 12:41 And it came to pass at the end of four hundred and thirty years—on that very same day—it came to pass that all the armies of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.

The clear, clarion cry for Reformation has been issued from heaven and has been heard in the earth by the prophetic ear of the Church. The proclamation of the new advance is being issued in every quarter of the global Church and the Spirit is stirring the battalions of the Reformation people into action. This is the season of destiny unmatched by any other. It is a day of great exploits, of majestic migration to the next level in God and of Kingdom breakthroughs!

Read: Psalms 50; Lev. 23

Take Action:

  • Ask for a fresh revelation of the Feasts of the Lord. Set your heart to mo'ed (meet with) the Lord during His set times of celebration.
  • Check your covenant meter; are you operating in thanksgiving, giving your best, obeying His Word & will for your life? If not, repent and renew.
  • Take communion and renew your covenant with God. Offer up sacrifices of thanksgiving and praise.

Declare: I choose to keep covenant; I walk in the ancient paths where the good way is. Yahweh, the covenant keeping God manifest Himself in my life situations bringing order where there is chaos.

Walking With Him,

Sharon
