Grace Upon Grace
It's a day 25; we are at the halfway point of counting the Omer. 25 represents forgiveness of sin, beginning of ministry training and grace upon grace!
The Lord is removing our filthy garments, he has taken away our iniquity and has clothed us with His righteousness. He is releasing to us grace upon grace.
John 1:16 For of His fullness (Jesus) we have all received, and grace upon grace.
Phil. 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
The Lord says; grace is so much more than unmerited favor. Yes, it's true you did not earn My favor or grace it was freely given through the blood of My Son. My Son's death paved the way for My Spirit to be released upon the earth. My Spirit bestows upon you My supernatural empowering presence; it's My presence upon your life that enables you to 'be' who I've called you to be and to 'do' all I have called and destined for you to accomplish for My Kingdoms sake. Raise your hands and receive My supernatural empowering presence...the secret to walking in My power is first BE (still & know) second go and DO (works of My Kingdom).
The remainder of the week we will look closely at biblical King Josiah’s reformation and identify some of the vital characteristics and activities that brought change to the people of God in his day.
All of us must walk through this present reformation; that is, if we want to walk in the fullness of what God is doing in the earth at this present time. For me the major shift took place in 2000. I've always been a forerunner these truths burn in my bones so I must proclaim them from the house tops.
A reformation has to be received as revelation from heaven and progressively built upon the earth.
Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken! Who can but prophesy? Amos 3:7-8
During my transition from the pastoral model of church to the apostolic model of Kingdom church Holy Spirit introduced me to many apostolic teachers. One such teacher was Noel Woodroffe from Trinidad; he wrote The Present Reformation of the Church from which these reformation principles were taken.
Reformation Principles From Josiah
- His birth was prophesied / bought into being by revelation.
Three hundred years before his birth, an unnamed prophet spoke the word that would release this reformation into the earth.
I Kings 13:2 Then he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar! Thus says, the Lord: “Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born to the house of David…”
We must understand the context in which Josiah came to the throne in order to appreciate the immensity of this accomplishment. He inherits a legacy of evil that has lasted for fifty-seven years, and has no immediate patterns of godly excellence and governmental quality to guide him. In addition he is only eight years old when Amon is slaughtered and he becomes king.
Reformation can break into any system and change the expected outcomes. It can redefine the traditions that have settled into the Church, because its power comes from the prophetic energy of God’s divine will and desire, and not from the earthly energy of man’s sinful and selfish ways.
- He Ventures Outside His Time and Activates Patriarchal Destiny
2Ch 34:1-2Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. He did right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of his father David and did not turn aside to the right or to the left.
He became King at 8 yrs. of age he started ridding the land of idolatry at sixteen.
- ‘right’ to be straight, level, or upright and has in its root meaning of things being brought into order.
- the sight of God’ this was the measuring rod against which Josiah judged his life and established his personal patterns.
- walked in the way of his father - we too are to walk in the way of our Father (traverse along the ancient paths where the good way is). God's Word is the blueprint for the reformation. (Jer. 6:16 NASB)
The principles that activated the Josiah reformation are as alive and potent today. An accurate reformation must be built upon biblical patterns and not on human whim or preference.
Read: Zec. 3; & 2 Chr. 34 over the next 4 days
Take Action: Be cleansed and reclothed!
- Go through Zechariah 3, let Holy Spirit cleanse and recloth you for what's ahead.
- Ask for prophetic revelation to understand the reformation the Lord is releasing in this hour.
- Decide to walk in God's path...the good way!
Declare: The prophetic revelation needed for the Church, the nation, and myself to embrace the divine shift that's taking place is being released; I receive it now!
