Feast Of Weeks Devotional

Day 1 – What Is God Saying?

 God’s Voice Is…

I’m a firm believer that God still speaks to His people. His voice is heard in multiple ways; through the Scriptures, through dreams and visions, through teaching / preaching, through prophesy. He speaks through nature, numbers, signs and wonders if our ears are open we can hear Him speak to us every day. He, who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Not only does the Lord speak to us personally, He speaks to us corporately (Body of Christ) through His prophets. I believe just as in the days of old the Body of Christ needs to heed the voice of the Lord spoken through His prophets / prophetess.

Today’s prophetic messages are not inerrant nor do they have the same weight as the Scriptures. And yes there are those who say they are speaking for the Lord and they are not but that doesn’t excuse us from listening and heeding proven prophetic ministers. When God speaks it’s for our betterment and when we heed His words we prosper.

Amos 3:7-7  Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken! Who can but prophesy?

2Ch 20:20  So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper."

During these next 50 days we will be look intently at various prophetic words / messages from God. The measurement for accuracy is different today than it was in the Old Testament – thankfully stoning for inaccuracy is no longer required! However, we will endeavor to release the true word of the Lord.

Psalms 29 is one of my favorite scriptures; God’s voice is majestic, it’s powerful. Be God’s voice in the earth!

TO DO

Read: Psalms 29 NASB

Take Action:

  • Give the Lord the glory due His name
  • Worship the Lord in holy array
  • Look intently at this passage:
  1. What does it mean to ascribe? Do it!
  2.  What does it mean to worship in holy array or beauty of holiness? Do it!
  3.  The voice of the Lord is…what? (upon, over etc.)
  4.  The voice of the Lord does 6 things, what are they?

Ask Holy Spirit for fresh revelation regarding these things…breaks, skips, hews out, shakes, makes, strips.

Declare: The voice of the Lord is powerful, majestic and I will hear and heed what the Lord is speaking.

Waiting In His Presence,

Sharon
