Day 12 - The Heavenly Exchange!

Living An Unoffendable Life

Today our focus is relationships, especially ones that have breaches [a breakdown in friendly relations]. We have all experienced them and yes even caused them unknowingly at times but has we exchange our ‘right’ to be mad or our ‘right’ to walk on the other side of the aisle with what Jesus purchased on the cross for us we can live an unoffendable life.

Jesus was afflicted, persecuted, hated, cursed and spat upon YET He chose to live an unoffendable life. As we accept ‘the heavenly exchange’ = giving our pains, sorrows, griefs, offenses to Him then we too can walk by the power of the Holy Spirit [as Jesus did] an unoffendable life.

Embrace the Heavenly Exchange

Isaiah 53:4-5The fact is, it was our suffering he took on himself; he bore our pain. But we thought that God was punishing him, that God was beating him for something he did. But he was being punished for what we did. He was crushed because of our guilt. He took the punishment we deserved, and this brought us peace. We were healed [physically, emotionally, relation-ally] because of his pain.

KEY: Love the Word, Bless don’t curse, And Pray for those who misuse you!

Psalms 119:165Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

      Matthew 5:44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good    to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

  • Despitefully: indicates that something is done unexpectedly or unintentionally [Encarta Dict]

  •  Persecute: to annoy or trouble persistently

 Day 12 – May 5th / Relational

Read: Job 42:10-17 & Psalms 119:165 [AMP]

Reflect: Returning… And the Lord turned the captivity of Job and restored his fortunes, when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. Jesus said, offenses would come but its how we handle them determines our outcome. Are there breaches in your relationships? If so, what and with whom? Ask Father to bestow His love upon you so you may deal with the offense. Ask Jesus for His grace to empower you to deal with the issue. Ask Holy Spirit to give you wisdom on how to rectify the breach. Pray for those who have offended you!

Declare: I choose to live an unoffendedable life.

Write a decree of divine reversal for your life; declare it every day this week!
