Day 5 – Season of Release / Relational Issues
April 28, 2016
Season of the Open Heaven
“The seven weeks associated with counting the omer are meant to press you into spiritual improvement, new relationships, new respect, spiritual correction and restoration from the mistakes of the past, and the development of a triumphant mindset for the entire season ahead.” [Chuck Pierce]
This week we have been looking at the Jubilee topic of release…today’s topic is relationships.
Lev 25:10-13'You shall consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim a release through the land…
Lev 25:17You shall not oppress and wrong one another, but you shall [reverently] fear your God. For I am the Lord your God.
Release H1865 …forgiveness, liberty. To free from confinement, bondage, obligation, pain, etc.; let go:
One of the principles of Jubilee has to do with the release of debt; we can be indebted to intuitions but also to people through unforgivenenss.
Mt 6:12And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
Debt G3783 that which is owed; offense or sin
What is forgiveness? The word forgive means “to wipe the slate clean, to pardon, to cancel a debt.” God has forgiven us all for much. In turn, God requires us to forgive others, and to keep on forgiving.
2Co 2:10-11Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, in order that no advantage be taken of us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
This scriptures reveals that if we don’t forgive, satan, our adversary can gain an upper hand in our life.
Let’s not be ignorant [without knowledge] of the enemies schemes [plans, plots, schemes, or devices].If we are unaware then our enemy gets the advantage [have or hold the greater portion; make a gain] over us.
Satan makes a lot of gain on those who are unaware of his ways. Bullinger says it means “to make a prey of, to defend, to defraud.”
“To the degree we are ignorant of the way our adversary thinks and operates – of his plans, plots, schemes and devices – to that degree he will gain on us, prey on us, defraud us of what is ours and have or hold the greater portion.” [Taken from Intercessory Prayer by Dutch Sheets pgs. 138-139]
Day Five: Relational Issues
Read: Proverbs 17:17; Romans 14:13; Matthew 5:44
Ask Holy Spirit to show you with whom or in what ways you need released in relationships so you can flourish in the days ahead.
Is there someone in your life you need to release [not divorce or necessarily cut relationship with] but who you may need to cut an ungodly soul tie or who may hold you back from fully being you?
Ask the Holy Spirit to release you from their grip and enable to you to walk in your true identity.
Declare: I choose to walk in godly relationships; whenever a situation arises I will seek to rectify it so it will not hinder my walk with the Lord.
Write a decree of divine reversal for your relationships; declare it every day this week!
