Understanding the Biblical Months
We embrace the Hebraic Roots of the early Church. Many things in the Bible were lost to us during the Dark Ages. But the good news is: God is restoring them back; one of the things He wants to restore to us is the blessing of Rosh Chodesh or First-fruits.
The Lord says in Psalm 103:2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.
We often only associate this scripture with salvation and healing, but it says, don't forget ALL His benefits...each month has blessings / benefits built within it:
The Month of Nissan (April - May)
The Hebraic month of Nissan is the first of the twelve months in the Jewish calendar. This is the month linked with the tribe of Judah – the apostolic leadership, warring tribe, who knew how to operate with sound. This is a key time to PRAISE! Remember Judah goes first! This is also the time of spring when kings go out to war (2 Sam. 11:1).
Nissan is the month of Passover, and the entire month is a prolonged festival. It’s the month of redemption, the month of the beginning of miracles, and the month that sets the course for your future.
