Being A Kingdom People

The 312 Factor: There are 53 Sunday’s in a year, most Christians see Sunday as the day to GO to Church. We believe however that Christians are not called ‘to go’ to church BUT Be the Church 24/7. Our focus is Not inward (going to a building) but outward (Go Ye) Mark 16:18

We endeavor to be people who re-present Jesus in the earth:

  •      Going: Mark 16:15-20
  •      Loving: Col. 3:12-17
  •      Reaching: Acts 2:42-47
  •      Praying: Mt. 21:13
  •      Training: Like Jesus: Acts 1:1
  •      Walking: Like Jesus: Acts 10:48
  •      Worshiping: John 4:23-24

The Jethro Principle

The Jethro Principle / Exodus 18:21-23  [Leadership style, authority and size]

Some of the key phrases of the current reformation are: ‘No longer Church As We Know It’ or ‘Permission to do church differently’ these often denote getting rid of the traditional church model: buildings & pastors, etc. for the house church model.

The above statements are true but we also believe in this statement: “it’s not either/or, it’s both/and”.

In the New Testament the Church met house to house, in the marketplace, in the temple, and together as a region. [Acts 2:46; 4:32; 5:42; 6:5; 9:32; 11:22; 11:26; 14:23, 27; 15:22, 30; 16:13 Rom. 16:5]

  • ALL sizes matter, whether you’re a mega church, community church or a house church; you’re essential for God’s master plan ‘Making Disciples of all nations’.

However, in our society the motto ‘bigger is better’ is everywhere even in the Church. We do not oppose or embrace the various Church growth marketing tools available today. While we believe that all sizes matter to the Lord, we also believe the Church is not ABOUT SIZE or PLACE, it’s about heart.

We do have a ‘growth strategy’  Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved”. Acts 2:46-47

The heart of this reformation is not to ‘rid’ the world of the traditional church model but to reform it so that it better reflects the Church of the New Testament. We know this will require some major changes in how we ‘do’ church but the Lord has promised to be our wise master builder. “I will build My Church and the gates of hell will not over power it”. [Mt.16:18]

The Jethro Principle not only shows us that size (small or large) is esteemed by God but it also confronts our practicing tradition of the ‘one man show’ platform. Moses, a type of apostle was given a strategy from the Lord that enabled him to empower others to lead without taking away his anointing and authority and in doing so enhanced the longevity of his life.

Job 22:21-30: 'Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you. Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, and lay up His words in your heart. If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; you will remove iniquity far from your tents. Then you will lay your gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks. Yes, the Almighty will be your gold and your precious silver; for then you will have your delight in the Almighty, and lift up your face to God. You will make your prayer to Him, he will hear you, and you will pay your vows. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways. When they cast you down, and you say, 'Exaltation will come!' Then He will save the humble person. He will even deliver one who is not innocent; Yes, he will be delivered by the purity of your hands." (NKJ)

A. VS. 21 Acquaint {#5532} to minister to, to cherish Webster's: to & to know thoroughly

N. T Equivalent: Mark 3:14-15

Vs. 14 …that they might be with Him…that they might learn / (hear from) Him and then go out in divine power to extend His work.

Vs. 15 …and to have power: (exousia) - the authority or right to act, delegated authority.

B. Vs. 22 (Job 22) Receive, please, instruction / law {# 8451 a precept or statue} taken from {#8384 the fig (tree or fruit)}--which represents seed [God's Word-logos & rhema] is the incorruptible seed. (I Pe. 1:23) from His mouth. (also Acts22:14)…and lay up His words {#4405 a word, collect, a discourse, a topic, to speak} in your heart.

Our Goal: To have the heart of the Father, Hear the voice of the Son and display power of the Holy Spirit.

A. Proclamation: from proclaim {#5046 stand boldly out in front, announce-always by word of mouth.

Webster's: <before & to cry out> to announce officially, to outlaw, ban, etc...

  • Is. 21: 6 Thus has the Lord said to me: "Go, set a watchman. Let him declare what he sees.

  • Mt. 10:7-8 And as you go, Proclaim, saying the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick…

  • Mt. 10:27 Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach (proclaim) on the housetops.

Proclaim on the housetop {#2784 kerusso-to be a herald} (a town crier) -- ambassador.

This carries with it a level of authority. The authority of the announcement demands that the hearers comply with the proclamation.

Proclamation carries with it a nature of binding, commanding and settling.

Let's look at Job 22 vs. 28 …Decree a thing

B. Decree: {# 2706 choq from # 2710 - to engrave <in written form>, an enactment, hence an appointment of time, space, quantity (how much), labor (a specific task), or usage (the act of way of using), appointed (to ordain, set)}.

Webster's: (de-from & cernere, to see, judge) an official order, or decision, anything settled or unchangeable.

Literally: "Decide & Decree" = Determine something then decree it.

Thing: {# 562 omer- a word, a command; a promise}

In other words: "You shall decree or declare a word"

C. Power of Our Words

Job 6:25 …how forceful are right words.

Ecc. 12:11…words of the wise are like goads, and the words of scholars are like well- driven nails.

Prov. 18:20-21…life and death are in the power of the tongue & those who love it will eat its fruit. // Deut. 30:11-20 [Choose Life]

Let's look again at Job vs. 28

D. Established: {#6965 quwm arise or stand up, strengthen, succeed }---Isaiah 55:11

Webster's: to make stable, settle, strengthen, or appoint; to set up.

Let's look at an expanded version of Job 22:28

"You shall decree a word and it will rise up. You shall sprinkle My seed. It will arise (grow) and establish something in the earth. (taken from Intercessory Prayer by Dutch S. pg. 227)

1. Prophets, yes--Apostles, yes, SAINTS-AMBASSADORS, YES!

2 Cor. 5:20 …Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ. {# 4243 a representative of a ruling authority}

Webster's: <task, mission> the highest-ranking representative appointed by one government to represent another.

2. People of the Kingdom : Col. 1:13, Lk. 17:21--the Kingdom of God is within you.

John 14:12 Most assuredly, I say to you,.. He who believes in Me, the works that I do he shall do also; and even greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. (I John 2/3)

Kingdom: {# 932 basileia rule or reign over a realm by a foundation of power. God's sovereign rule in the universe - it over flows the power and rule of all evil - human & hellish. (SLB)

B. We are to declare, and proclaim the decree of our KING!

1. Declare: make clearly known, announce openly

Ps.2:7…I will declare the decree of the Lord. [Written form]

Declare His name, righteousness, deeds, to His enemies, vengeance, counsel of God

Ps. 22:22-31 Declare the name & righteousness of Jesus…

Ps. 107:22 Declare His works with rejoicing

Ps. 145:4 Declare His mighty acts

Is. 12:4 Declare His deeds…make mention that His name is exalted.

Is. 21:6 Watchman declare what you see

Is. 42:8-13 Declare His praise in the coastlands

Jer. 50:2 Declare among the nations, Proclaim and do not conceal it—say…Babylon is fallen...

Jer. 50:28 Declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord God…vengeance of His temple.

Acts 20:27 …declare to you the whole counsel of God

Declarations release God to act. They prepare the way for God to work upon the earth. It releases the power of God into situations.

2. Proclaim: to announce officially, to outlaw, ban, to cry out.

Here are some promises we can proclaim:

                    · Salvation: Ps. 96:2-3 Proclaim the good news of salvation….Declare His glory among the   nations, His wonders among the people.

· Liberty {# 1865 freedom, release, setting free}

Lev. 25:10 …Proclaim liberty throughout all the land

Is.61:2 …proclaim liberty to the captives [Lk. 4:17-19]

                          Jer. 34:8…proclaim liberty to them

· Peace: Deut. 20:10 …Proclaim an offer of peace to it.

· Release: Judges 7:3 proclaim release from war—whoever is fearful and afraid.

· Acceptable Year Of The Lord: Is. 61:1-2… Proclaim the acceptable year & the day of vengeance of our God

· Prepare for War: Joel 3:9

· Proclaim To Things

Jer. 3:12 …proclaim to the North

Jer. 7:2…to the house of God

                           Jer. 11:2…to the people

                           Jer. 19:2…to valleys

                           Ez. 37:4…to dry bones

A. The very nature of a decree is authority

A decree is a written edict, an official order or decision, anything settled or unchangeable

Because of this--there is authority and power within it to change things.

Ecc. 8:4-5 …we release the decrees of our King.

B. Responsibility of the Saints

Gen. 1:26-28...Created for dominion / subdue it. have dominion over…

Remember that we are His representatives here on earth!

"Commission to get involved, to interfere with the world's way of doing things and to begin to bring God's Kingdom dominion into the earth." (from Cyrus Decree by Jane Hamon. pg. 26)

Ps. 110: 1-7; Ps. 149:1-9…….LET----UNTIL… THIS HONOR HAS ALL THE SAINTS!

Dan. 7:18; Mk. 3:14-15; Lk. 10:19; Mk. 16:18; Mk. 3:15; Mk.16:14-20

Lk. 10:19 {#1411 dunamis-energy, power, might, great force, great ability, strength.

Acts 1:8 …power when the H.S comes upon you.

Mt. 16: 18-19

· revelation

· open & shut /bind & loose

Eph. 3:8-12

Esther 8:8

Prophetic Prayer & Decree to speak over yourself, family, church, etc.

Father, we come before you today with grateful hearts, thank you Lord that you are for us and not against us. Thank you that we have the privilege of coming boldly to your throne and partnering with the courts of heaven on behalf of the affairs of men.

Father, we decree Exaltation will come! Restore! Restore! Restore! Lord, we loose it in heaven. We declare restoration to our homes, churches, cities, and nation. Divine Order is coming Now—in every area where there has been stealing, killing, and destruction [name specific people and things] we speak the Word of the Lord, we say over that loss, Restore! Devil, give it all back! The thief and liar of men, give it all back! Father, we believe You will restore and we declare it in Jesus Name, we ask for it and we thank you for restoration.

Father, we proclaim this is the season of your vengeance. We proclaim that this is the season of your favor. This is the year of the Lord’s favor! This is our acceptable year, of liberation, and Jubilee. Lord, we say it over your people today: Favor! Favor! Favor! Divine Favor!

Now, Father, let the angelic hosts who execute your judgment go forth. Let the warring angels act to defeat the enemy and restore our kingly destiny. Let them overcome in the spirit-world, in Jesus Name. And let the angelic hostovercome every demonic power or stronghold and every assignment that is aimed against our inheritance! We throw it down! We take authority, concerning our kingship, over every power that resists.

We know, O Lord, that You will come and make a judgment in favor of the saints; that’s what we need right now. We thank you, Lord, today, for the victory!
